QUATUOR VOLTA

Named after the italian physician inventor of the first electric battery, the Quatuor Volta has its identity registered in the heart of the classical repertoire and the primary romanticism : Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert.

Its four members, Hugues Borsarello and Laurent Manaud Pallas on violin, Arnaud Thorette on alto and Gauthier Hermann on cello, develop, since many years a solid musical complicity and a rich activity as chamber musicians and concertists, giving birth, in 2014, to the Quatuor Volta.

Each of them was granted prestigious musical awards in international competitions (Paris, Bordeaux, Genova, London, Sienne, Florence, isszach, Heerlen…) the Quatuor Volta musicians perform on the major international stages. After the 2014/2015 season dedicated in particular to Schubert, the Quatuor Volta recorded their first Mozart Quatuors album in 2016.
