DANIEL MILLE
At a young age, Daniel Mille had put his accordion away to start learning carpentry, convinced about the difficulty to develop a personal style on his instrument.
At the age of 17, he discovers “Years of Solitude”, an album of the Picasso of the argentine music, Astor Piazzolla, and the elegant performing along with the master of Baryton Gerry Mulligan.
This was a turning point in Mille’s life. He started to focus with obsession on creating a dreamlike musical universe, giving birth to nine excellent albums many times awarded, with prestigious collaborations : Barbara, Claude Nougaro, Jean-Louis Trintignant…
Many decades later, Daniel Mille finally dedicated an opus to Astor Piazzola, “Cierra tus Ojos” - (close your eyes) - with a special choice of instruments, the accordion, three cellos (celli) and a double bass.
With the arrangements of Samuel Strouk, Daniel Mille pays a brilliant tribute to the lyricism and the compositions of Piazzolla.
